GLobeMed
GlobeMed is an organization that partners universities across our nation with organizations from 3rd world countries to fundraise and help better global health. UC's partner is located in Thailand in the Burmese-Thai border. We are partnered with a Thai organization called Social Action for Women (SAW) and our aim this year is to better health education and preventive care knowledge for the refugees at the border. Our ultimate goal is that with enough help, the region can eventually become self-sustaining. Click on the button below for more information on our partnership with SAW.

2014 1st Annual Benefit Dinner
This year, we hosted our first Benefit Dinner. This dinner was a presentation of GlobeMed to all of our supporters from family to friends. We were able to gather all those interested in global health and our partner, SAW, and enjoy conversation, share knowledge, and sell some of SAW's Income Generation products, bags and wallets handmade by the women living in SAW's housing facilities. The Benefit Dinner was a great success and one of our most successful fundraising events yet. Notable guests were Maya Cohen, Executive Director of the GlobeMed National Office, and Dr. Jason Blackard, the faculty adviser of GlobeMed at UC.
