Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) and Relay for Life
Our mission
Our mission is to progress research towards a cure for cancer while providing hope for all those battling cancer. Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) endeavors to raise awareness across campus on cancer and healthy behavior. We have hosted events such as Paint the Campus Pink and Purple and the Great American Smokeout to teach students here at UC about harmful effects of smoking and awareness for breast cancer in the community.
Relay for Life is our biggest event here at UC. It occurs each spring and we honor all those who have passed from cancer, who are battling the disease now, and who have survived it. The event is 18 hours long, throughout which we hope to raise sizable funds for the American Cancer Society to go towards furthering cancer research. This year, I am a co-chair of the Medical Campus Recruitment committee in Relay for Life 2013. Click the button below (left) to get more information about Relay for Life at UC.
